EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE PREDICT THE MANAGERIAL EFFECTIVENESS OF MANAGERS IN PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS

This study made an attempt to find out the relationship between managerial effectiveness and emotional intelligence of branch managers public sector banks like state Bank India, Punjab National bank Indian in district Kolkata, West Bengal. The sample consists 174 managers. Stratified random sampling method is used. data collected through standard structure questionnaire named as Managerial Effectiveness Scale developed by Prof. S. Gupta (1996) “Emotional Intelligence Test Dr. N. K. Chadha D. Singh (2001) was administered. five hypotheses formulated are tested using appropriate statistical tests Mean, D., t test, ANOVA, correlation regression analysis assess with respect intelligence. results revealed that there no significance mean difference within (SBI, PNB, IB). result also exhibits positively correlated having high level more effective than low It conclude from a significant predictor banks.
